This might sound like an epic pose, but it’s another very straight forward pose to help you get familiar with grounding your feet and legs into your mat. Start by standing straight up, with your feet hip distance apart. You can leave your arms by your side, have them meeting in a prayer position at your heart, or have them meeting together above your head. Concentrate on what your feet are doing: can you get the “four corners” of your feet to touch the mat? If not, try shifting your balance around to the point where your toes, balls of your feet, and heels are all touching the mat at the same time.
