9. Be Succinct
Even though you might want to pack as much information as you can onto your resume, don’t. Some studies suggest that employers will spend somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds reading over a resume. If it’s filled with details, it’s hard for key points to stand out and it makes your resume look unorganized and cluttered. Be brief about your work experience and skills, and only include the information you know is relevant to the job posting. Save the details in your master copy, and then use them if and when you get the interview!
