Before you begin your letter, add in a subject line that references the position you’re applying for. This will make you appear more organized, and it will make the recruiter/employer know exactly what you’re applying for. After you’ve introduced yourself, explain the job you’re looking for. Do a little research. Do you know any extra details about the relevant skills or duties this position has? Reference the job posting details. In short, make it clear that you know what you’re applying for, and make it clear that you know what you want (even if you’re not sure).
